Liz, 29, is very much from her father's school of determination and grit: her building blocks are her education Priorsfield Girls School in Surrey, as a pupil at the famed Pru Leith cookery school, where she also became a teacher for a while after graduating with a distinction.
Originally she went to art college, but the lure of good cooking persuaded her to go to the Pru Leith school instead. And today besides her role at The Inn at Fossebridge, she owns Mint, which provides the food and service at top flight dinner parties in London. At Fossebridge she manages the staff, has an input into menu preparation, sometimes cooks, runs the bar and is generally responsible for all purchases. For her Gloucestershire has become a real joy....so much so that she now plans to learn to ride and perhaps join a local hunt. |
