Cotswolds inn ruffles a few (real) feathers......
The award winning Inn at Fossebridge has now added an internet suite for guests.
And, it marks the first step in efforts by the Jenkins family to update communications.
As owner Robert Jenkins said:" We hope it doesn't ruffle any feathers....especially among the local carrier pigeons".
At present the inn is not within reach of any mobile phone networks, so Robert Jenkins and daughter Liz are in discussions with a major provider to install a mobile telephone mast that resembles a flag pole.
"We were offered a look alike tree, but felt that was totally unsuitable", said Robert Jenkins who is deeply committed to maintaining the beautiful Cotswolds countryside.
"We fully accept it must not be intrusive, but in these days of communication it is important that we meet all the needs of our visitors - and a mobile phone network is one of them".
The internet connection for guests has been sited in part of the residents' lounge - with special efforts also to ensure it is not obtrusive or a problem to guests seeking solitude.
And even its oak desk is from times gone by.
