Prestigious AA Dinner Award For The Inn at Fossebridge
The Automobile Association (AA) has awarded its prestigious Dinner Award to The Inn at Fossebridge, near Cirencester.
The inspector that called incognito from the AA reported: "Both lunch and breakfast proved enjoyable and dinner offered a very good selection of carefully prepared and presented dishes, achieving a new Dinner Award symbol."
"We look forward to returning in due course and in the meantime confirm a grading at Four Stars, which continues to be well deserved".
Four years ago the Inn was in disrepair; since then it has been refurbished throughout by private owner Robert Jenkins and daughters Elizabeth and Samantha.
The 300 years old building has been refurbished throughout and today there are eight luxury bedrooms, a beautiful bar and dining areas, four acres of grounds, and a cottage that sleeps 10.
Plans are also afoot to upgrade other old buildings to form luxury suites.
The food award follows a complete review of all the offerings by Elizabeth Jenkins, who studied and taught at the Leith's School of Food and Wine, and French head chef Damien Dupuis.
The spring menu details the huge progress made by the team to achieve quality dishes, at reasonable prices, for all palates.
Robert Jenkins said: "The award is a tribute to every member of the team; we set out to create a real home from home for our guests, and this superb accolade takes us another step forward in our dedication to restoration of The Inn at Fossebridge".
