Owzat! Emily is Robert's Man of the Match At Cotswold Hunt Summer Cricket Event
When VIP guest Robert Jenkins was asked to decide on the man of the cricket match between huntspeople - known as subscribers - and their supporters, he picked 18 year old Emily Summers.
"Not because she was the only girl playing, but she was excellent", said Robert, owner of The Inn at Fossebridge, which sponsored the event and provided a challenge trophy.
But that is not a surprise either... Emily (18), attended Cheltenham Boys College and captained the girls' cricket team. And she's a huntsperson too.
The match, at Stowell Park Cricket Club, was part of a fun evening organised for both huntspeople (subscribers) and supporters; guests enjoyed a barbecue along with the 20-20 overs match, which ended in victory for the hunt supporters.
"It was a great evening; one that The Inn at Fossebridge was delighted to be associated with, especially as we are in the heart of this community which, has welcomed us very warmly since we took over the inn fours years ago", said Robert.
The 300 years old inn has been fully refurbished by the Jenkins family, and has eight luxury bedrooms, excellent dining facilities, grounds covering four acres and a cottage that sleeps 10.
