Samantha Jenkins: Events Manager And Weddings Organiser Extraordinaire

Samantha Jenkins
Samantha Jenkins is very much a woman of today – bringing up a toddler while at the same doing one of the toughest jobs in leisure – organising events, weddings, parties, business meetings.
Samantha (36) is the third member of the Jenkins family to get behind the wheel at The Inn at Fossebridge, purchased by father Robert nearly five years ago and today one of the best hotels of its kind in the Cotswolds.
She has joined sister Elizabeth, a graduate of the Leith's Cookery School, to manage the day to day running of all aspects of the business, while Robert gets on with the constant demand for improvement and development at the Inn, which today has four star AA and four rosettes Quality in Tourism accreditations.
Samantha's commitment as front of house organiser of all special events is unquestionable…she has given up life in the fast business lanes of London to bring the same kind of expertise to the 300 year old Inn, based between Cirencester and Northleach.
Samantha has been in the events and conference business arena for over 10 years, in a wide range of challenging roles for a specialist banking and investments business, Age Concern, corporate hospitality broker Langston Scott, and the agencies Live Group and Eventwise.
She managed a European Parliament programme launch, an Age Concern conference, celeb parties, wide ranging NHS seminars, roadshows, meetings and conferences.
Samantha, mother of three year old Maximillian, has one of those CVs many dream of... BA Honours in media and cultural studies in French, gained at Surrey Institute of Art and Design, a diploma in languages for business while at Oxford Brookes University, a diploma with business French achieved at Marlborough Secretarial College, Oxford... Samantha Jenkins with head
chef Damien DupuisShe hasboth lived and work on mainland Europe, has seen much of the world and loves tennis, sailing, swimming, skiing and cooking.
In other words, a real high speed girl.
Her role at The Inn at Fossebridge is to heighten awareness of the Inn's huge potential for civil weddings and receptions, events in the grounds, family parties, awaydays, product launches and business meetings for a day or a week.
"We have the perfect venue", she said. "I used to spend hours trudging around places to find somewhere to accommodate all our needs. Here, we have eight luxury bedrooms, a room that's wonderful for business meetings or civil weddings, grounds that are hugely beautiful and ideal for an events marquee, a cottage that sleeps 10, and creative food menus to die for."
"And it is so refreshing to work inhouse, rather than as a specialist for my various employers clients".
To this end Samantha is have a showcase event on September 8,specifically for personal assistants and events organisers to see for themselves what is on offer.
Robert said: "It is quite remarkable that having all had separate, successful careers, we are now all working together to build a wonderful destination for visitors to the Cotswolds, for those wishing to find somewhere really different for their wedding or anniversary party, or for companies and their staff to get together to solve the problems of the day or team build. How could any father not feel lucky with two dedicated daughters supporting his endeavours".
